History
Don Bosco Higher Secondary School Mendal is a coeducational institution of the Catholic Church, owned and managed by the Don Bosco Educational Society, with its Headquarters in Guwahati. The school was founded in 1974 and was located at Gokolgri and known as “Union High School Gokolgri”. In 1978 it was shifted to Mendal and called Don Bosco High School, Mendal in 1991. The school was established by Rev. Fr. Anthony Valluran to cater to the growing educational needs of the locality, Today the school is open to all sections of the society. The school prepares candidates for the Secondary and Higher Secondary Leaving Certificate Examinations and gained recognition for Class X in 1985 and for Class XI & XII in Memo no. ISW 109./OP/06/6000-04 dated Williamnagar, the 6th Sep. 2006 (MBOSE)/Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Mendal in Memo no HSS-5 / 2008 /5649 dated Williamnagar the 17th, Dec. 2008.
